The purpose of clause in Helgeland Havn IKS company agreement aims to:
- Coordinate and develop an efficient, safe, and rational port activity within the co-operation and coordination area that creates the conditions for efficient and competitive maritime transport in the region.
- Ensure safety and accessibility in the company's ports and the participating municipalities' maritime area.
- Facilitate all management and administrative tasks that apply to municipalities in accordance with the Ports and Maritime act, and enforce the provisions that in accordance with the same act and associated regulations, apply within the municipalities' maritime area.
The goal for HH's activities is that the port resources shall at all times constitute a competitive port offer for the users, by among other things, map infrastructure that ensures the best possible connection between sea and land transport and the use of intermodal transport solutions.
In order for the ports to be able to maintain and further develop the traffic base, HH must be able to engage in all forms of Port-related activities, including transport issues and business development that are appropriate and financially beneficial for the company and the businesses our ports serve.
The port company may participate in alliances and limited companies that promote the company's purposes.
