Port and Maritime Act
The Ports and Maritime Act stipulates the division of responsibilities between the state and the municipalities. The act provides provisions on the municipality's governing bodies for port and maritime, geographical boundaries for municipality's exercise of authority, the municipality's tasks, port fees, and planning.
The port and maritime act stipulate that the port's capital and the companies belonging to the port authority, in accordance with the Act, shall be kept separate in a port fund, and will be only used for the development, maintenance, and operation of the port and the areas it operates. The port capital will also be used in a way that ensures the company's solid economy.
